Exterior Elevations
When searching for a home to build, gaining an understanding of you're your home will look like from the outside is vital in the process. All of our home plans and designs include exterior elevations, providing you with a layout, and a complete picture as to what the plan's exterior will look like. Exterior elevations and descriptions typically include the front, sides and rear elevations. Our plans also provide exterior materials (such as siding, brick, windows, doors, etc.).

Foundation Plan
As you build your home from the ground up, perhaps one of the most important features of your home is its foundation. The foundation provides your home with the life and building blocks it needs to withstand many years of use throughout the seasons and storms your home will experience. As you build your home, the foundation plan includes a top view of the footings and foundation walls. As you consider your home - and potential modifications to the plan you purchase - the foundation plan is key. It indicates the location of posts, beams and load bearing walls, as well as a slab, crawl, or basement foundation. As you browse our house plans, if you do not see the foundation available that you need, please contact us to get a free quote for house plan modifications.

Floor Plans
As you consider purchasing, building, and completing a plan from American Gables Home Designs, the floor plan will provide you with a picture (from above) of the flow and layout of your home. As you study the floor plan, you will be able to see how you and your family will move around inside the home's walls - where you will be spending the most time, which room will house important pieces of furniture, art, and other activities. Floor plans are a view of the house as if it were sliced horizontally, including all doors and window openings, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc. with dimensions of their location.

Electrical Plans
Picture a beautifully accented home, complete with the perfect light fixtures, plenty of outlets, recessed lighting, and cozy corners for you and your family. Electrical plans allow you to work together with your homebuilder to design and install these important details, providing a finished product beyond compare. Plans show the location and type of all lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles and wiring necessary for your dream home.

Miscellaneous Details
As with any major project, miscellaneous facts, information, and details allow building to progress at its intended rate. Most plans include these types of construction details and pieces of information, vital to the building process. This can be a separate sheet of details or misc. details placed on other sheets within the plans. These details often wall sections, stair sections, etc.
