About Our Home PlansCODE INFO Our house plans are designed to meet the 2000 International Residential Code for One & Two Family Dwellings. Many states, counties and cities amend the codes for their area. Consult your local building inspection department before purchase or construction begins to determine the requirements for your area. All of American Gables Home Designs, Inc. plans can be adapted to your codes and requirements through our Modifications Department. PLAN CONTENTS All of our home plans include exterior elevations, roof plan, floor plan(s), foundation, electrical layout, kitchen & bath elevations, miscellaneous interior elevations, rafter framing details and miscellaneous exterior details. American Gables Home Designs, Inc. plan contents can be found under our house plan examples. ALTERNATE ELEVATION PLANS An alternate elevation plan is a plan that is almost exactly like another plan except the front elevation is different and the floor plans are changed to reflect those elevation changes. The plan has a separate name than the original plan and can be purchased as one plan at the regular price or at a discounted price when purchased with the original plan. This gives you two choices of elevations for every plan. FOUNDATION OPTIONS A daylight basement is included with most of our home plans. Slab and crawl foundations are available at an additional fee. American Gables Home Designs, Inc. offers more information through our Modifications Department. CAD All of our plans are drawn with the most up to date CAD software. This enables us to provide clear, accurate and easy to read house plans. It also allows us to modify our existing stock plans quickly and easily to meet any changes you may need.
